Welcome to Carefree Furniture, hand crafting outdoor furniture in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The chairs, ottomans, tables, and benches are designed to have a long life in the outdoors. They are constructed of weather resistant lumber using stainless steel fasteners, adhesives, and sealers designed to provide you with years of enjoyment. Custom orders are welcome, and I can also add custom inlays in a variety of colors and designs on request.
Maintenance of your outdoor furniture is minimal. If you live in the Salt Lake area, I will inspect your furniture each Spring for the first two years after purchase and apply a new coat of sealer to prepare it for the Summer outdoor season at no charge. For winter storage, I recommend putting your furniture in the garage if you have space or, if not, covering it with a tarp. Or, you can leave it outside like I do.

The Adirondack Chair is well known for its style and comfort. The addition of an ottoman allows you to stretch out your legs and relax. My Adirondack chairs come in three sizes to accommodate everyone in the family. The Candy Chair provides a comfortable curve for your back, and easy interlocks for transport and storage. The Candy Chair Chaise feels like a contoured lounger.
The Butterfly Chair is designed for outdoor dining and relaxation. It can be sized to provide the best possible fit and is a good companion for the Butterfly Table.
The outdoor tables are available in a variety of styles and sizes. They are available with a fixed base, folding, drop leaf, or rotating top, and may have round or hexagonal tops. The tables range in size from 20 to 55 inches in diameter. You can also create your own design.
The BTL Bench provides a sturdy base and comes in lengths from 27" to 48", depending on your needs. The Button Bench is quite stable and provides just the right lift for accessing cabinets or other high storage. With a urethane finish, they also are very functional for indoor use.
The Scrap Bench can be produced in any size. It is a random collection of 1" slats, ensuring no two pieces will be alike. It is available with either an interior or exterior finish.
New this year, I am now making two varieties of very comfortable redwood benches: the Swing Bench and the 151 Bench. Each is 48 inches wide and designed to provide a pleasant and relaxing outdoor experience.
I have also started offering the Handy Footstool, in both adult and children's sizes, that has a vertical handle attached. This makes it easier to place the bench where its needed without having to bend over.
